The Apprentice 2016: Lord Alan Sugar shocks with ANOTHER double sacking
THE APPRENTICE candidates were left stunned tonight as Lord Alan Sugar whipped out his firing finger not once, but twice, to send both Dillon St. Paul and sales executive Sofiane Khela packing.
Lord Sugar SHOCKS with a double firing
The latest instalment of the BBC series saw project manager Sofiane’s Team Titan, and Team Nebula, lead by IT recruitment worker Trishna Thakrar, go head-to-head to create a new virtual reality game, before pitching their finished products at London’s Comic Con.
Nebula stormed to victory with their intergalactic vision, titled Gordon’s Lost His Badger, which was set in space and featured Captain Gordon who, you guessed it, lost his pet badger.
Titan’s underwater puzzle adventure, Magic Shells, sank into oblivion when it was presented to the industry experts, while just 78 out of the 300-strong London crowd felt their lacklustre effort was better than rival Nebula’s.
The two eliminated candidates clashed throughout the entire task as art director Dillon protested that the challenge was much better suited to his creative talents.

I still think I'm better than any of the other candidates left in there
Dillon and Sofiane’s departure leave just one man left in the competition as Courtney Wood made it through to the final six.
"I still think I'm better than any of the other candidates left in there. I'm very competitive,” Sofiane fumed following his exit.
“I was gutted. Coming this close makes you want it more. I walked in to every boardroom thinking that there could be more than one firing, but I was actually shocked by my firing.
Dillon and Sofiane crumbled in The Apprentice tonight
"Even after Lord Sugar fired Dillon, I was still thinking he might fire Grainne, not me," he added.
Dillon was equally as “frustrated”, and blamed Sofiane’s refusal to let him design the character and brand for his sacking.
The Apprentice continues next Thursday at 9pm on BBC One.
