Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May were back together after leaving Top Gear in a shroud of controversy in 2015.
Their new show, which cost millions to make, landed overnight and has already set off a wave of conversation on social media.
In our own verdict, Express.co.uk dubbed it “Top Gear on steroids”, adding: “It’s safe to say that fans will not be disappointed with this offering even if they have to pay for it.”
But the most important judgement is from the viewers - so what did you make of episode one? Vote now in the poll below.

As the reactions roll in - including to the fact that Carol Vorderman was seemingly “found dead” - Clarkson has kept his trademark sense of humour; tweeting yesterday: “Great news. Midnight tonight there's a drama by Reggie Yates on Channel 4.”
May himself quipped: “Very excited. Won't be able to sleep. I'm on @absoluteradio tomorrow morning!”
“Er, there seems to be some sort of car show already on Amazon. And it's not bad,” Hammond wrote.
Speaking to Jonathan Ross on his ITV show last weekend, Clarkson, 56, had admitted that he was feeling the pressure.

Viewers enjoyed it, voicing their approval online
“The truth is, it’s three old men bickering and falling over,” he admitted. “We should have called it Last of the Summer Wine because that’s actually what it is
“We wanted to reclaim the car crown. We just wanted to say ‘You probably think we’re going to disappear off up our own a***s but actually we’re still capable and would want to do a car show.’ Admittedly in week two, we’ve pretty much forgotten to put a car in it.”
