Susanna Reid takes swipe at Melania Trump: ‘She’s not as beautiful as Michelle Obama'
SUSANNA REID hit out at Melania Trump during today’s Good Morning Britain as she compared the future First Lady of the United States to her predecessor Michelle Obama.
Susanna Reid: Michelle Obama more beautiful than Melania
The 45-year-old looked horrified when Donald Trump was named President Elect following last week’s US presidential election, and today she seemed equally as dismayed by the New York businessman’s glamorous wife.
While discussing the new leader of the free world, who is famously close to her co-host Piers Morgan and his 46-year-old spouse, Susanna Reid grimaced as she described Melania as “an interesting character”.
“Michelle Obama is the most beautiful first lady I’ve ever seen,” she teased.
Her comments came after Piers lashed out at “luvvies” over the shock result while receiving a downpour of criticism from viewers for his ongoing support behind the controversial commander in chief.

After Trump gave his first interview since last week’s shock election yesterday, Piers took a swipe at his sceptics by urging viewers to “take a chill pill” as he continued to defend the future leader of the free world.
“Really? One of the worst things to have happened to our world in 100 years?” he fumed. “All of the luvvies of the world need to take a chill pill.”
The father-of-four continued his tirade to mock the ex-wife of John Lennon, Yoko Ono, who shared a typically eccentric response to last week’s election on Twitter.
“Dear Friends, I would like to share this message with you as my response to @realDonaldTrump love, Yoko,” she wrote alongside a video of herself screaming in anguish for 19 seconds.

Last week, footballer Gary Lineker went to war with Piers over Trump, while the former Britain’s Got Talent judge also slammed “fawning Hilary Clinton celebrity supporters”.
Writing to his 5.24 million Twitter followers, Piers said: "Congratulations to my friend @realDonaldTrump - an astonishing achievement #President."
He continued: "Trump's last words to me when I saw him in New York in May: 'Well, Piers, see you at the White House…’
"All those fawning self-interested celebrities really worked out for Hillary."
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
