Strictly's Laura Whitmore feared she would never dance again
Strictly star Laura Whitmore feared she might never dance again after her ankle injury.
Laura was forced to pull out of last week's show due to injury
The 31-year-old Irish TV presenter, who was forced to pull out of last week’s show, was determined to get back on the dance floor. Laura, who performed a Tango on last night’s Halloween special, said: “I feared my Strictly dream was over.”
She was upset at letting people down by missing the show with a repetitive strain injury.
“I have never cried so much in my life.” Instead Laura, who was given a bye through to last night’s show, watched it at home.
“I wanted to make sure my partner Giovanni Pernice wasn’t having too much fun without me.”
Laura said: “My best friend had flown over from Dublin. Giovanni had spent a long time choreographing a beautiful jive and taught it to me, then I wasn’t able to do it.

I have never cried so much in my life
I’m lucky to be able to be on it and then to not dance felt like a little bit of a failure.”
She added “We are not allowed to do any lifts in a Tango, so that was fortunate. My ankle’s definitely better but it’s painful.
Laura feared that she had torn her ligament
“The fear last week was that I could have torn the ligament, which would cause permanent damage.”
The results show is tonight on BBC One at 7.15pm
