GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF crowned Candice Brown the winner in an emotional instalment yesterday, and Selasi Gbormittah opted to celebrate in style alongside his fellow bakers.

The much-loved contestant, who was given the boot one week before the final, invited all the contestants from the 2016 series to his home to mark the last episode.
The 30-year-old shared a number of snaps with his 71,000 Twitter follows, including one of the copious amounts of champagne he had picked up especially.
Selasi captioned it: "Tip of the iceberg! Ready! Special guests arriving soon in a convoy of cars. Celebrations will be AWESOME #GBBOfinal! Place to be tonight."
He had previously tweeted: "Cheers Newcastle! It's been amazing! Tmr is party time INVITE ONLY I'm afraid #GBBO #FINALS. The last of #bakeoffwednesdays. ON MY WAY BAKERS."(sic)

Despite his baking skills being a huge success, Selasi opted to order in instead for the special evening.
"Leaning tower? 45-50 guests means no cooking! #Pizza and #Booze #GBBOfinal #Partay," he added.
Selasi went on to post a video of the reunited gang, which saw them count down before letting off numerous confetti canons.

The Bake Off final saw Candice triumph over Andrew Smyth and Jane Beedle in a number of tense challenges.
The programme was watched by a staggering 14 million and numbers are set to rise as people watch on catch-up services.
