Dr Mike set pulses racing on Channel 4 this evening
Doctor Mike, as he is known, appeared live on set with Davina McCall to discuss the important of undergoing regular cancer checks, and even demonstrate how to go about it yourself.
In a notable segment, he handed Davina a rubber glove and taught her how to examine a robotic rectum accurately, to check for signs of prostate cancer.
And while viewers praised the pair for bringing attention to the important issue, many were distracted by the doctor with his dark good looks and athletic physique.
“Oh my goodness! That doctor on #StandUpToCancer is absolutely beautiful,” gushed one excited viewer

“Oh my goodness! That doctor on #StandUpToCancer is absolutely beautiful,” gushed one excited viewer.
Another concurred: “Literally how could you have Dr Mike as your doctor without either feeling really s**t about yourself or being too nervous?”
“Oh my giddy aunt Dr Mike!! How can he be that handsome and a doctor? what a man,” another asked desperately.
“If Dr Mike was my doctor I would be throwing my self down the stairs every day!!!! #StandUpToCancer #DrMike,” came a rather overzealous tweet.

“Put the good doctor down @_davinamccall,” someone else tweeted Davina herself, referring to her occasional touching of his arm.
Handsome doctors aside, the segment highlighted the importance of regular cancer checks, as did the whole evening of TV, which also included a celebrity special of Gogglebox and an instalment of The Last Leg.
