The 48-year-old American singer appeared on today’s edition of This Morning to talk about the controversial decision and to reveal exactly what had happened on the night.
Anastacia told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “In Dancing With The Stars in America we don’t have a dance-off and Len [Goodman] and Bruno [Tonioli] are there, but I didn’t know.”
Speaking about the injury and ending up in the bottom two, she said: “There was a mixed bag of emotions. I was ready to do the dance-off.”
The star said she would have danced if she could have, before going on to talk about how she ended up seriously injured.
Instead of a dance off, DJ Melvin Odoom was eliminated according to the public vote.
She explained she hurt herself while training with professional partner Brendan Cole: “The injury happened on Wednesday during a rehearsal, we were having a great time.”
The I’m Outta Love star said she felt like fellow contestant and Olympic gymnast Claudia Fragapane as she trained, but it was when she went to do a lift that things went wrong.
At the time, she didn’t realise that something had happened because she was already quite bruised from the rigours of dance practice.

Anastacia tore the scar tissue from her double mastectomy, which nearly spelt the end of her time on Strictly. However, she explained that because it was not the lat muscle she could continue on the programme.
The hitmaker went on to say that as a seasoned performer she could normally get through these kind of things but this injury was something else.
“If I could have done the dance-off. We know how to get through a show. This is not the typical injury you want to mess with,” she said.

She was partnered with Brendan Cole
She said that she felt “lucky” to be able to do the Viennese Waltz in the second week and admitted that she thought she was going to end up facing the dance-off last weekend.
Reflecting on being partnered with 40-year-old Brendan, Anastacia said: “I do believe that whoever they put me with - I am sponge. I am trying to make the partner proud.”
This week the musician will be dancing the rumba to The Way We Were by Barbara Streisand as 12 couples battle it out to stay on the BBC dance competition.
