The X Factor 2016 EXCLUSIVE: Emily Middlemas ‘gutted’ by last minute song change
DISASTER has already plagued The X Factor’s pop princess Emily Middlemas, as her song has been dramatically switched at the last minute ahead of tonight’s live shows.

Earlier this week, it was revealed Emily would be belting out Britney Spears' chart-topper Toxic, but the powers that be agreed it was "too old".
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the 17-year-old admitted she was “gutted” by the shock move, but remained hopeful about her plan B.
"They felt like Toxic was a little outdated," she sighed. "They felt like it wasn't really me because I'm young and current so it didn't make sense for me to do that.
"I really loved the song though, so I was a bit gutted. I'm singing a song which is a bit more suited to my age group so I'm excited to do it."

Thankfully, in times of crisis Emily has her doting boyfriend Ryan Lawrie to turn to, after the pair became the first couple to successfully make it all the way to the live finals separately.
In turn, the couple have taken their romance to the next level and moved in together - alongside the remaining 12 finalists - in a £3.4 million North London mansion.
However, Emily assured there would be no bed-hopping between the lovebirds in their new abode.

"We have to be focussed and we have to get some sleep," she claimed. "So no, none of that."
Elsewhere, controversial double act Bratavio admitted tensions are already running high in The X Factor manor.
The X Factor airs Saturday and Sunday, 8pm on ITV.
