The Apprentice 2016: New trailer revealed as Rhod Gilbert joins as You're Fired! host
THE APPRENTICE is now weeks away from returning for its latest season - and a first trailer has finally been released.
Rhod Gilbert will join The Apprentice as host of You're Fired
The rather chilling snippet, tweeted by Lord Sugar earlier today, is shot in the style of a first-person perspective as a contestant is dismissed.
They are heard praying that the person to the left of them is eliminated, but Lord Sugar soon looks them straight in the eyes and says the dreaded words: "You're fired."
It has also been announced today that Rhod Gilbert will take over from Jack Dee as the new host of BBC Two spin-off You're Fired.

"As a massive fan of The Apprentice, I can’t wait to start hosting You’re Fired," the stand-up comedian said.
"As someone who has been fired from 24 jobs in six series of my BBC work experience show [Rhod Gilberts Work Experience], I feel I have what it takes to empathise with the candidates who’ve been so cruelly rejected, and provide a shoulder for them to cry on."
BBC Two's Channel Editor, Patrick Holland, added: "I am delighted that Rhod is taking the hot seat on You're Fired.
"Rhod is a brilliantly individual comedian and I think the audience will love his gentle grilling of each week's fired candidate."
Who will be left with their head in their hands this time?
Kate Phillips, the Controller of Entertainment Commissioning, went on: "It’s great news that Rhod will be joining as the host of You’re Fired on BBC Two.
"A natural and accomplished presenter as well as a brilliant comic, he’s perfect for the role and I’m very excited to hear his unique take on the highlights of The Apprentice each week!"
Last year's series was won by Joseph Valente, although runner-up Vana Koutsomitis has since raised an impressive amount of money for her own venture, DatePlay.
The Apprentice returns to BBC One next month.
