Victoria wins the ratings war against Poldark AGAIN… but both shows lose viewers
ITV'S Victoria has won the Sunday night's rating battle once again after gaining around 300,000 more viewers than BBC's Poldark.
Poldark delivers a passionate speech during his trial
The 19th century drama stars former Doctor Who actress Jenna Coleman as the monarch who inherits her throne at the age of 18.
Episode four saw the young Queen fall for the dashing Prince Albert, played by Tom Hughes.
According to ratings specialist Overnights.tv, 5.1 million viewers tuned in to watch the show in the 9pm slot.
Over on the BBC, 4.8 million people saw Captain Ross Poldark, played by Aidan Turner, found not guilty in his trial after being accused of plundering a ship.
Poldark, left, lost to Victoria once again in the ratings

The period drama had a one-week headstart on its rival
This is the second time that Victoria has won the ratings war since both shows came up against each other for the first time last week.
There was a slight dip in the number of viewers tuning into both shows as episode three of Victoria won 5.3 million viewers in comparison with 5.1 million watching the premiere of Poldark's second series.
Both shows have proven popular, with viewers praising the male stars of the shows for their smouldering performances.
Aidan Turner, meanwhile, has the title role in Poldark
Irish actor Turner has garnered a strong following after he was seen scything topless in the first series of the Cornish drama, which aired last year.
While Victoria's Rufus Sewell has been an unlikely hit with viewers, who were so besotted with his portrayal of Lord Melbourne they hoped the show would rewrite history and stop Prince Albert showing up.
Poldark and Victoria both air on Sunday at 9pm - on BBC One and ITV respectively.
