Tattoo Fixers in fresh controversy as artist makes THIS huge error
THE latest episode of Tattoo Fixers On Holiday has drawn ridicule online after a blunder from one of the artists was spotted by viewers.
Freestyle Sketch - Tattoo Fixers
Artist Alice Perrin, who can usually be counted on for her impressive inkings, made a noticeable error when she was dealing with one customer.
Named Kat, she had sought help to alter a tattoo she got after her marriage breakdown: the letters YOGDO, standing for "you only get divorced once".
Alice's detailed replacement design included a pocket watch, some flowers and even a teacup, but sadly there was one glaring mistake.
Whilst Alice had used Roman numerals for the numbers on the clock face, she had inadvertently used XI (11) twice - once, erroneously, in place of a nine; which should have been IX.
Tattoo Fixers aired an unfortunate mistake this week
Alice is a very popular star of the programme
Viewers were quick to notice the gaffe
Anyone spot the error on the Roman numerals on that pocket watch? 9 and 11 are the same!
"Alice must of been p****d up!! drawing a clock face with to elevens and no 9," one person tweeted.
Another wrote: "@E4TattooFixers anyone else noticed there are 2 elevens? One should be a nine."
"Anyone spot the error on the Roman numerals on that pocket watch? 9 and 11 are the same! #TattooFixers #oops," said a third.
The show, which remains a hugely popular draw on E4, is no stranger to hitting headlines for the wrong reasons.
A number of tattoo artists launched a campaign against it earlier this year, whilst a model who appeared on the first series claimed it "ruined his career".
Alice hasn't remarked on the incident
The stars of the show have also had to hit back at criticism about their "hygiene standards", with artist Sketch saying: "They [critics] all look at what they see on the show, but what they forget is that it's a TV show. Who would want to tune in and watch us cleaning our tubes for an hour? They forget that it's a show.
"You'll see us come and pick up an ink cap with no gloves on - really, that was filmed earlier. It was just for an arty shot to look good. It's a TV show at the end of the day and all of our standards are so high."
Tattoo Fixers On Holiday concludes on Monday at 9pm on E4.
