Emmerdale spoiler: Rhona and Pierce almost kiss as they get caught up in moment of passion
EMMERDALE viewers have seen Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) and Pierce Harris (Jonathan Wrather) grow closer recently, but it seems like their friendship may turn into something more.
Rhona and Pierce almost end up kissing in upcoming Emmerdale scenes
In scenes set to air on May 17, the pair almost end up kissing, after Rhona goes to see a new flat with Pierce just outside the village.
However, when she starts to pick fault with the property, Pierce - who moved in with Rhona while trying to get answers about the death of his late wife Tess - joked it was because she doesn't want him to leave.
The characters then find themselves caught up in a moment of passion, but does Pierce have a slightly darker motive than he's letting on?
Rhona's ex-husband Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) cheated on her with Pierce's late wife Tess (Nicola Stephenson), who got knocked down in a drink-drive incident earlier this year.
Could Rhona and Pierce end up being more than just friends?
Pair end up getting close while viewing flats
An Emmerdale insider revealed: “Rhona was devastated when she discovered Paddy cheated on her with Tess.
“They tried to work at their marriage but Paddy made the heartbreaking decision to leave the village and his wife.
"Rhona has been trying her best to cope without him and has grown close to Pierce.
“And although she has yet to admit her feelings, viewers will be in no doubt that she has fallen for him."

"It’s all a bit messy but Rhona is drawn to Pierce. Whether he feels the same remains to be seen," they added to the Daily Star.
Actress Zoe - who plays Rhona - previously said she didn't want her character and Paddy to split up, despite the affair.
She said, back in February: “I would love to see them work through it because I don’t want them to split up – I’d hate it if Dominic and I were ships that passed in the night and only saw each other in The Woolpack once a year.
"If Paddy is totally honest there’s a chance they can mend their marriage, but perhaps she needs time away.”
Emmerdale continues tomorrow night at 7pm on ITV.
