MasterChef 2016: Viewers left confused by 'chocolate soil'
PEOPLE tuning in to watch MasterChef tonight were left slightly bemused after two of the contestants used chocolate soil in their dishes.
Chocolate Soil is back on MasterChef
The sweet crumbs were used in desserts by two different people to impress the judges and former contestants on the programme.
However, viewers watching at home were less pleased and even confused by what they were watching.
Many took to social media to discuss chocolate soil as they mulled over the food substance after watching the programme.
“When did chocolate ever need to be soil like? Is it a 2016 thing ? #masterchef,” tweeted one person.

This week's contestants on MasterChef
MasterChef returned tonight for a new series as a set of fresh-faced hopefuls were put to the test in the kitchen.
Judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace put through Julie, Cae and Chris to the quarter-finals of the competition at the end of the episode.
Tomorrow night a new group of amateur cooks will have their skills challenged as their are pitted against each other to produce winning dishes.
MasterChef continues on BBC One tomorrow ay 8pm.
