In a new interview, Jeremy has accused bosses of failing to support him after the death of his mother, when them reportedly focusing on Top Gear racism allegations instead.
He revealed: “My mother’s just died. Please leave me alone. But they wouldn’t. And it was bad.”
“There was quite a lot of pressure that year even for a jovial soul like me to handle,” he added to the Times Magazine.
The controversial presenter then singled out Danny Cohen, who was previously BBC director of television.

Jeremy explained: "Danny and I were, and I suspect will remain for ever, very far apart on every single thing.
"Normally, you could find some common ground with somebody, but I think Danny and I could probably only get on perfectly well so long as we absolutely never had to think about each other for the rest of the time.
"Because I don't mind anyone having an opinion that's different to mine, just so long as they don't mind my opinion either.
"So long as it doesn't impinge on what I want to do," he went on.

Top Gear bosses were slammed recently for filming beside the Cenotaph
Previous fallouts between the pair included the name of Jeremy's dog, after he called his west highland terrier Didier Drogba after the Ivorian Chelsea football player.
A source who is said to be close to Danny Cohen has since told the publication: "Danny has no interest in responding to inaccurate claims, but remains proud to have taken action against a man who saw fit to punch a colleague."
A spokesperson refused to comment when approached by Express.co.uk.
Jeremy has recently been hard at work filming his new Amazon Prime show, alongside James May and Richard Hammond.
Earlier this week, the trio were pictured soaking up the sun in North Africa, while the Top Gear team found themselves stung with overwhelming furore after they were pictured filming beside the Cenotaph in London.
