The X-Files: David Duchovny ‘would love to’ return for another season
WITH the revival of The X-Files concluding in the US tonight and continuing to impress on Channel 5 in the UK, attention has turned to whether or not it will be back for another season.
David Duchovny said there could be more X-Files on the way
Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres on her US chatshow, leading man David Duchovny has indicated that he is hopeful that Mulder and Scully can return - provided his and Gillian Anderson’s schedules can match up.
“I think we’re all open to it,” he said after a Fox exec said something similar. “It’s just a matter of getting everyone’s schedules to jibe.
“Gilly lives in London, I don’t know where I live.”
He added: “I would love to. I think we all would. We’ll see what happens.”

The new run started with a mixed response from viewers and fans, but went on to have a generally successful comeback.
“We tried to get right back into it. If you can imagine taking ten years off the show and then coming back, it would feel somewhat different but still the same,” David explained.
“It’s that cliche of being a family, in a way.
“Of all the things that have changed and the work that’s come in between, when we were together doing the show this time around, it just felt like the old show.”
Is there more mileage in the show?
Gillian sadly had to deal with much of the coverage around the show’s return being about whether or not she has had Botox; calling out the Daily Mail for its “b******s” spread on her appearance.
“If it weren’t so sad, this b******s would have made my day,” she tweeted.
The X-Files continues Mondays at 9pm on Channel 5.
