'Hurry up' Matt LeBlanc late for first Top Gear production meeting after taking the BUS
JUST hours after being announced as Chris Evans' new Top Gear co-presenter, Matt LeBlanc was embarrassingly late to meet him and the crew for a production meeting yesterday.
Matt LeBlanc appeared to be late for the Top Gear production meeting yesterday
The host of the revamped motoring series took to Twitter to tell the Friends actor to "hurry up", while sharing a snap of the large team down the pub.
The 49-year-old looked far from concerned with a pint in hand, unlike Matt, 48, who seemed less than content with his chosen mode of transport.
"@Matt_LeBlanc Welcome but hurry up. You're late for the weekly TG production meeting," Chris tweeted, before adding a second boozy photo captioned: "@Matt_LeBlanc Still waiting."
Matt later replied: "I'm on the bus now. So slow… Does this bus have to stop at every corner," however it was unclear if his post was in jest.
The actor blamed the bus for his late arrival

It remains unknown as to how late the sitcom star was in the end, but over two hours later, Chris messaged him: "@Matt_LeBlanc New arrivals. ETA please."
Matt no doubt regretted jumping on the bus, which seemed an odd choice given he is the new star of a programme all about cars.
The online banter came just hours before he joked that he and Chris will be like his popular Friends BFF's Joey and Chandler when Top Gear returns later this year.

Meanwhile, William Hill has halved the price of German professional driver Sabine Schmitz being named as the third presenter from 1/3 to 1/6.
Rupert Adams, spokesman for the bookmaker, said: "It is almost inconceivable that the BBC would choose an all-male panel, therefore we are convinced that a female presenter will be unveiled shortly and Sabine is in the driving seat."
Top Gear returns to BBC Two in May.
