The Jump 2016: Tina Hobley quits after dislocating her elbow on the slopes
TINA HOBLEY admitted she would be gutted if she had to leave the competition early, but unfortunately for The Jump star her biggest fear has become a disappointing reality.
Tina Hobley left the competition after an injury on the ski slopes
The 44-year-old actress, who stars in Holby City, was forced to exit the show after dislocating her elbow and to add insult to injury, the incident wasn't even during the competition.
Channel 4 have issued an apology after the crew failed to clear the landing area, as Tina sped down the slopes in the middle of ski practice.
A Channel 4 spokesperson told the MailOnline: "The Jump adheres to the strictest safety protocols to ensure that the health and safety of the competitors is always paramount.
"Tina’s fall was caused by simple human error when members of the ground crew failed to clear the outrun. We’re very sorry to lose Tina from the competition and wish her a very speedy recovery."

Prior to The Jump commencing, Tina told Express.co.uk she was afraid "something freaky could happen", and she couldn't let it interfere with her chances in the competition.
She said: "When it comes to the jump I only need a little fall and I could be out week two and I’d be gutted. I can’t let that happen."
When asked further about potential injuries, the actress added: "I hadn’t thought about that. We’ve got medical people with us the whole time… Touch wood I’m not going to need them."
The show's dangerous slopes where many injuries have occurred
Tina is known for her role as Chrissie Williams in medical drama Holby City
This isn't the first accident to take place, after Rebecca Adlington and Louisa Lytton also suffered injuries during practice.
Like Tina, Eastenders star Louisa was rushed to hospital after hitting the ice with full force, while competitive swimmer Rebecca lost control when she hurtled down the slopes, dislocating her shoulder.
The Jump continues on Sunday, February 7 at 7.30pm, on Channel 4.
