'Don't be a pillock' Dame Helen Mirren gives Super Bowl fans a stern drink-drive message
DAME HELEN MIRREN has had her say on drink drivers, and she's not messing about.
Helen Mirren's drink-drive message for Super Bowl
In a 60-second Budweiser advert, to be screened at Super Bowl 50 this coming Sunday, the 70-year-old refers to drink-drivers as "pillocks".
The clip sees the Woman In Gold actress sitting in a restaurant on her own, about to tuck into a hamburger and chips, as she addresses the nation.
"Hello, I'm Helen Mirren. A notoriously frank and uncensored British lady," she begins her speech with as regal music plays in the background.
"So I'll sum it up like this: If you drive drunk, you, simply put, are a short-sighted, utterly useless, oxygen-wasting, human form of pollution, a Darwin Award-deserving, selfish coward," she continues.

The advertisement ends by encouraging viewers to use the hashtag "GiveADamn", and confirms that Budweiser will donate $1 to safe ride programmes.
Twitter users were quick to take to social media and praise Budweiser for the campaign.
"Great Super Bowl spot for @Budweiser. Nice to see an American ad using the phrase "pillock" too! #GiveADamn," one user wrote.
Another posted: "Props to Budweiser for always making the best commercials and caring about people #GiveADamn."
