BBC shake-up: Charlotte Moore is promoted as Kim Shillinglaw exits ahead of Top Gear debut
THE BBC announced today that they have created a new role in their programming team to deliver a higher standard of viewing.
The BBC have had a bit of a shake-up
Charlotte Moore has been promoted to Controller of TV Channels and iPlayer to synchronise the viewing channels, so audiences will get the best viewing experience possible when tuning in, or logging on.
Speaking about her new position Charlotte explained with vigour: "I'm honoured to lead the BBC's channel portfolio into the future at such a significant time.
"It is more important than ever for audiences and programme makers that we have a clearly defined sense of purpose for each channel to ensure we deliver even higher quality and more distinctive content."
The new appointment, who introduced the country to The Great British Bake Off, revealed that she is committed to making her mark in the new role.

Charlotte's career has been on the climb since 2013, when she won the respect of her peers for playing a pivotal role in Terry Pratchett's Choosing to Die.
In February 2013, she assumed the role of Controller of Daytime Television alongside Acting Controller of BBC One, when Danny Cohen was promoted to director of BBC Television.
She then became the official Controller of BBC One in June 2013 and will start her new role on January 25, under big Beeb boss Mark Linsey.
The BBC said the reorganisation "follows other recent moves to simplify structures at the BBC".

iPlayer offers viewers the chance to catch up on their favourite shows such as Doctor Who
In recent years, binge-viewing culture has meant that TV broadcasters have had to stay up to speed with streaming options, so people can pick and choose what they want to watch, when and where.
iPlayer and many other channels such as 4OD and The ITV Hub give audiences the chance to catch up on the their favourite shows, or watch any episodes they may have missed.
The news comes as it was also confirmed that BBC Two and BBC Four controller Kim Shillinglaw has opted to leave the BBC.

She said, according to an official statement: "I wish the BBC, Mark and Charlotte every success with the many changes BBC TV needs to make.
"I've loved modernising BBC Two and Four over the last two years but when you don't get the big job it's time to move on. And I'm looking forward to another big challenge."
Kim was reportedly asked to re-invent the new Top Gear, which sees Chris Evans replace Jeremy Clarkson following the infamous "fracas" last year.
