‘I wouldn’t be her biggest fan’ Louis Walsh doesn’t want to work with Cheryl again
LOUIS WALSH has hinted that a return to The X Factor could be on the cards, but the claws will be out if he has to work with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini again.
The X Factor's former judge Louis Walsh has revealed he isn't Cheryl's biggest fan
The former judge, who recently revealed he was tempted by next year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, could be sidling up to Simon Cowell yet again, if his ex boss makes him an offer too good to refuse.
But returning to his old stomping ground won’t come without a few strings attached, as Louis will have to share air time with pop princess Cheryl, who he has admitted he has no time for.
Speaking to the Daily Star, he said: “I had great fun with Sharon Osbourne, great fun with Mel B, great fun with Nicole Scherzinger – they were great fun.
“With Cheryl, I wouldn’t be her biggest fan.”
Louis Walsh has hinted that he could return to the show if talks with Simon Cowell go well
With his former fellow X Factor judges; Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Mel B
But should the media mogul’s offer fall flat, or turn out to be just a rumour, the Irish wonder has declared he will follow through on his reality TV debut, and dive deep into the jungle.
Louis said: “I met them and I nearly was going to do it, but Simon said he might have something else coming up for me.
“If it’s not X Factor I’ll do the Jungle, so either way I’m happy. But Simon saying that is a good sign – that is a good carrot.”
Simon will have to act as mediator if Louis returns to the show next year
The judge has said he will go into the jungle if The X Factor gig doesn't transpire
Meanwhile, the judge also weighed in on this year’s ratings war with Strictly Come Dancing, saying that Simon’s decision to change the format resulted in the lowest viewing figures ever.
The dancing extravaganza knocked The X Factor’s final out of the park as just an average of 8.4 million, who watched Louisa Johnson claim Simon Cowell’s £1million recording deal.
Strictly came out on top once again after 11 million viewers tuned in to watch Jay McGuiness win the coveted Glitterball trophy.
If the talent contest and Walsh do not return next year fans can rest assured, there have been reports of a Best of X Factor show, starring previous winners.
