Robbie Williams' wife Ayda Field for role in final ever Fresh Meat series
SHE'S had a great acting career in the US but here in the UK she's probably best known for being Robbie Williams' wife - until now.
Ayda Field will be seen in Fresh Meat next year
Ayda Field is set to appear in the final series of Fresh Meat, continuing the string of comedy roles she's aced since first shooting to fame in soap opera Days Of Our Lives.
Fresh Meat airs its victory lap on Channel 4 next year, and Ayda will play a support officer for the show's central group of students.
The character, Rosa, is described as a strong, no-nonsense presence who has plenty of dealings with Oregon (Charlotte Ritchie), who is the Student Union President and takes her role very seriously indeed.
While the two clash, Kingsley (Joe Thomas) becomes attracted to Rosa's maturity and a romance kicks off between them.
The series will see the students graduate
Jack Whitehall plays a central role
Fresh Meat, which stars Jack Whitehall, has been on the air since 2011 and has amassed a loyal viewership keen to see how the characters will bow out.
Ayda married Robbie in 2010, after dating since May 2006.
They tied the knot at his home in Beverly Hills and have since had two children together: daughter Theodora Rose in 2012 and son Charlton Valentine just over a year ago.
Robbie and Ayda have been together for 9 years

Fresh Meat returns in 2016.
