The Sinnerman from The Chase, Paul Sinha, has opened up about his ongoing struggle with Parkinson's disease and how it might signal the end of his tenure on the hit ITV quiz show.

The 54 year old brainiac, who has been a prominent figure since 2011, candidly discussed his condition and its potential impact on his performance saying he'll step down if necessary.

Paul, chatting with the Daily Star, expressed his pragmatic approach: "If it ever did, I'd point it out to the producers. I know that one day that point will come, and I don't want to be a burden on the show."

His commitment to not compromise the show's quality is clear evidence of his professionalism and dedication to The Chase, hosted by Bradley Walsh.

Since his Parkinson's diagnosis in 2019, Paul hasn't shied away from discussing his fears and concerns about the future, especially considering his intellect is central to his occupation. Reflecting on this in a heartfelt conversation on ITV's Loose Women, he stressed the importance of living in the moment, "I refuse to live in the future. I only want to live in the present and enjoy the present. Because I don't know what my future is. I don't have the time scale and I don't know when I'm going to start deteriorating."

"I do know that when I stop answering questions at speed, The Chase won't fire me, I'll say, 'It's been a lovely journey, you've treated me very well, see you later.'".
