"Brendan will be there until they push him out the door," his wife Zoe joked.
The New Zealand-born star also explained he tries to bite his tongue when his performances are met with criticism on the show now.
"Everything I do now is for [two-year-old daughter] Aurélia," he said. "Often I’ll go to disagree with the judges but stop myself because I don’t want her looking back and saying: 'Daddy, you were a bit of a d***'."
At the weekend Brendan’s Strictly partner Kirsty Gallacher became the first female contestant to be voted off the show after receiving a low number of votes from the public and a disappointing score from the judges.

Speaking after their elimination, Brendan admitted he wasn’t confident when he was paired with the Sky Sports presenter.
"When we started I was not hopeful because she hadn't danced… she was stiff and scared of it," he admitted on spin-off show It Takes Two.
"But once we turned the corner of some of the fear disappearing, she started to become a dancer. Thats as good for me as Jay getting a 10!"
