The Apprentice: Viewers are raging that 'annoying' April Jackson wasn't sent packing
NO ONE wants to be the first to see Lord Alan Sugar wave his firing finger and utter the immortal words "you're fired," but alas Dan Callaghan was the first to leave The Apprentice tonight.
Viewers are outraged that April Jackson wasn't fired
Although, viewers are not happy with the Amstrad mogul's decision and have been shouting their mouths off on Twitter that former Ms. Jamaica, April Jackson – who sold Tuna nicoise salad in a Tupperware for £9 – didn't get the boot instead.
In today's first challenge, the contestants were divided into mixed teams of boys and girls and asked to turn fresh fish into fresh money.
While Team Versatile managed to muster up a respectable profit of £200.09, Team Connexus made a dismal £2.
Sadly, despite his best efforts under dire project manager April Jackson, Dan was the first contestant to be eliminated from the contest.

April's series of mistakes – from serving overpriced salad to only managing to cook up 89 out of her 3000 proposed fish cakes – didn't go unnoticed by the British public, and in turn the self-proclaimed beauty received an overwhelming backlash online.
"April should of been fired, I dont like her. Poor Dan, I felt sorry for him & I really like Brett (sic)," wrote one tuning audience member.
Sadly, it was Dan Callaghan who was sent packing form the boardroom in week one
Aside from her abysmal display of business acumen, April's just didn't go down well with viewers at all.
Another fan added: "April is the definition of foul. 'I'm taller, and prettier than anyone here' What's your height and looks got to do with it?"
All-in-all, it was universally agreed that it was a a shame to see Dan, who was by far the comical star of the show, bid farewell on week one.
Of course Dan was fired, he was likeable, sensible, humble and normal. He was never likely to do well. #TheApprentice

"I can't see and I can't cook, so shoot me" God I hope Dan survives. #TheApprentice

Watching #theapprentice ...Dan is my favourite already for suggesting "sugarbabes" as team name.

Following his departure, the 24-year-old fragrance retailer said: "Do I think I deserved to stay in the process given my abysmal selling record? No, not at all."
The Apprentice continues tomorrow night at 9pm on BBC One.
