Pick of the day: Gino’s Italian Escape

In tonight’s episode chef Gino D’Acampo explores Puglia, a region famous for its olive oil.
He examines the gnarled olive trees that have dominated the landscape for thousands of years and in the shade of an old farmhouse, dishes up a carpaccio of tender beef fillet, served with a refreshing Italian gremolata dressing and rocket salad.
In the regional capital, Bari, D’Acampo samples olive oil ice cream before heading to the town’s harbour to mix with the locals at sunset.
