Netflix's upcoming period drama boasts an impressive ensemble cast of familiar faces, including aDaisy Jones and the Six star.
Adapted from Edith Wharton's novel of the same name, The Age of Innocence is billed as a "delicious portrait of forbidden love and lust in Gilded Age New York society."
The storyline centres around a scandalous love triangle involving esteemed gentleman Newland Archer, his betrothed May Welland and her recently-divorced cousin Ellen Olenska.
The novel achieved historic significance when it secured Wharton the inaugural Pulitzer Prize for Fiction presented to a woman.
Now, a century on from its 1920 publication, the tale is being revived for our viewing pleasure by scriptwriter Emma Frost and director Shannon Murphy, reports the Mirror.
But which performers will breathe life into these beloved characters?

Kristine Froseth is well-versed in Wharton's narratives and heated love triangles. The American-Norwegian performer gained widespread recognition through her role in Apple TV's adaptation of Wharton's final work, The Buccaneers.
She portrays Nan St. George, a young American lady who relocates to London with her companions. Nan subsequently becomes caught between pursuing romance with a Duke and his intimate friend.
Prior to embodying Nan, Froseth had appeared in Netflix's Sierra Burgess is a Loser, Hulu's Looking For Alaska and American Horror Story - amongst others.
In The Age of Innocence, Froseth plays the role of May, who is characterised as "a religious rule follower and a believer in the status quo, but not without a rebellious streak."
Camila Morrone as Ellen Olenska

Camila Morrone portrays Froseth's cousin and romantic competitor Ellen Olenska.
The divorced woman is "a free spirit who is playful, smart, and strong-willed, yet carries conflict and guilt surrounding her new position in society."
Morrone is also recognised for her performance in a beloved literary adaptation, Prime Video's Daisy Jones and The Six. She appears in the Emmy-winning series as Camila Dunne, the spouse of rock musician Billy (portrayed by Sam Claflin).
The 28-year-old performer has also featured in James Franco's 2013 biographical film Bukowski, based on the German-born writer's life.
She is furthermore scheduled to headline Netflix's forthcoming horror programme Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, alongside The White Lotus star Adam DiMarco.
Ben Radcliffe as Newland Archer

British actor Ben Radcliffe takes on the lead role of Newland Archer, who is "a handsome, progressive, and intelligent society gentleman."
Radcliffe recently appeared alongside Austin Butler and Callum Turner in Apple TV's Masters of the Air.
Netflix audiences will also know the 27-year-old performer as Giselher from the popular fantasy programme The Witcher.
Margo Martindale as Mrs. Manson-Mingott

Perhaps the most familiar face on this roster, three-time Emmy champion Margo Martindale plays May and Ellis' grandmother, Mrs. Manson-Mingott.
Martindale has lately appeared in several successful programmes, including Prime Video's crime comedy The Sticky, and ABC's Doctor Odyssey.
However, fans may have overlooked that the actress also made an appearance in a second series episode of Suits, where she portrayed Nurse Nell Sawyer.
Netflix has yet to announce a release date for The Age of Innocence.
