Filming for a new adaptation based on the mysterious disappearance of Agatha Christie is underway and it includes a stellar cast

Fans of Agatha Christie have a new film to look forward to, with a gripping drama inspired by one of the most intriguing episodes in the author's life currently in development. Titled Eleven Missing Days, the noir thriller explores the mystery surrounding Christie's unexplained disappearance in 1926, a real-life event that sparked widespread public fascination and headlines around the world.
The film is adapted from Jared Cade's acclaimed 1998 book, Agatha Christie and the Eleven Missing Days, which examines the investigation into the celebrated crime writer's vanishing. The book has been described as a "fascinating read." Leading the cast is Vincent Cassel, who takes on the role of retired Belgian detective Jacques Pieters, a fictional investigator drawn into the baffling case.

Felicity Jones will portray Christie herself, bringing to life the bestselling novelist at the centre of one of the biggest mysteries of her own era.
Alongside Cassel and Jones, the film will also feature an impressive ensemble cast. Ryan McParland will play Surrey Constable William Kenward, who joins Pieters in the search for the missing author. The cast also includes Game of Thrones' Alfie Allen, Ben Hardy, Stacy Martin, Nicole Elizabeth Berger and Oliver Trevena.
The incredible screenplay has been written by Ernesto Foronda, whose previous credits include Better Luck Tomorrow, while Silo director Bertie Ellwood is helming the project.

The synopsis reads: "In December 1926, at the height of her fame, Agatha Christie became front-page news when she vanished in bizarre circumstances from her home.
"In a case of life imitating art, this whodunnit explores the investigation behind her disappearance, strangely resembling an Agatha Christie novel itself where everyone in her life became a suspect."
With its compelling real-life inspiration, talented creative team and star-studded cast, Eleven Missing Days is shaping up to be an exciting new addition to the growing collection of screen adaptations connected to the Queen of Crime.
