Set on a sleeper train travelling from Glasgow to London, Nightsleeper is a thriller that sees the train hijacked and those on board trying to save themselves before it’s too late.
With the series almost ready to debut, here’s everything there is to know about the cast.
Who is in the cast of Nightsleeper?
Abby Aysgarth - Alexandra Roach
Leading the cast is Welsh actress Alexandra Roach who is behind the acting technical director at the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre.
When she finds out that a sleeper train is hacked, it is up to her to try and track down who’s responsible and put a stop to it.
Roach will be remembered for portraying Becky in Utopia, as well as DS Joy Freers in No Offence, in addition to her roles in Inside No.9, Black Mirror, Killing Eve and Being Human.
Joe Roag - Joe Cole
Meanwhile, on the train itself is off-duty police officer Joe Roag who is doing everything he can to keep his fellow passengers calm while he figures out what to do next.
Actor Joe Cole rose to fame as Luke in Skins before getting worldwide recognition as John Shelby in the BBC drama Peaky Blinders.
More recently, he has starred as Sean Wallace in Sky’s gripping drama Gangs Of London.
Yasmin Brown - Sharon Rooney
Little is known about Yasmin Brown in Nightsleeper but going by stills from the show, she appears to work on the train.
Actress Sharon Rooney was Rae Earl in My Mad Fat Diary, Dawn in Brief Encounters, Miss Atlantis in the 2019 remake of Dumbo and Lawyer Barbie in the 2023 Barbie movie.
Liz Draycott - Sharon Small
Another character listed is Liz Draycott who is believed to be one of the passengers on the sleeper train.
Scottish actress Sharon Small was DS Barbara Havers in The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Elisabeth Flynn in Law and Order UK and Dr Brigitte Rayne in Trust Me.
Fraser Warren - James Cosmo
She is joined by actor James Cosmo as a character called Fraser Warren.
Actor James Cosmo has had a number of supporting roles in big movies over the yeras, including Ben-Hur, The Highlander, Trainspotting, Troy and Braveheart.
Paul Peveril - David Threlfall
Actor David Threlfall iconically portrayed Frank Gallagher in the unforgettable Shameless for nine years.
Following his stint on the award-winning show, Threlfall, who will play Paul Peveril in Nightsleeper, went on to appear in Ripper Street, Bing, Wolfe, Dodger and Passenger.
Saj Sidu - Parth Thakerar
Taking on the role of a character called Saj Sidu is actor Parth Thakerar who has appeared in Brassic, Vigil and Gangs Of London.
Other familiar faces include Katie Leung who was Cho Chang in Harry Potter, Alex Ferns from The Devil’s Hour and EastEnders and Lois Chimimba from The One on Netflix.
Nightsleeper premieres on Sunday, September 15, at 9pm on BBC One.
