Emmerdale ‘confirms’ beloved villager's death after five word warning - and fans are livid

A beloved Emmerdale villager’s death has been ‘confirmed’ after a rather cryptic comment.

Soap fans were left cheering at the screens recently when Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) called off her marriage to abuser Tom (James Chase). As fans will recall, Tom has been in control of Belle for months, abusing and gaslighting her.

And in Wednesday’s (July 24) emotional two-handed episode, Belle feared for her life as Tom continued to abuse her. She ended up making an escape, and fled back to the village.

After a tense confrontation with Tom, Belle broke free and moved back with her family, announcing their marriage was over.

And during Friday’s episode (July 25), Belle confided in pal Vinny (Bradley Johnson). She opened up about how Tom “calls all the shots.” When asked if he is controlling, Belle replied: “It’s hard to explain.”

However, when quizzed if Tom had even been violent, Belle paused, before backtracking. Vinny instantly looked suspicious - and later on in The Woolpack, he confronted Tom.

However, Tom snapped back and paranoid, he claimed Vinny had been waiting for him and Belle to break up - saying he has been “sniffing around” her.

Despite Vinny insisting he and Belle are just friends - Tom was not having any of it. Squaring up to Vinny, Tom issued a warning that could potentially hint at his downfall.

Tom said: “Just be honest for once.” He then got closer to Vinny’s face and fumed: “have you been sleeping with my wife?” Panicked, and aware of what Tom can do, Belle then intervened and pulled Vinny away.

And now that Vinny has gotten himself involved in the drama, fans reckon Tom could potentially kill him off in a shock twist.

On X, one person said: “Vinny needs to be careful.” Someone else added: “Tom better not mess with Vinny.”

A third wrote: “So glad Belle has opened up to Vinny about Tom, but can’t help but think it’s going to backfire on him.”
