This Morning fans slam 'painful' Chaka Khan interview: 'This is hard work'
The music icon joined Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard to talk about her music career as she marks 50 years in the industry but some viewers branded it 'awkward'.

Chaka Khan appeared on This Morning during Tuesday's episode (July 2) to celebrate 50 years in the music industry, but some viewers accused the legendary star of 'not wanting to be there' as she was interviewed about her career.
The 71-year-old American singer, whose real name is Yvette Stevens, joined the ITV shows host Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley to mark her milestone career moment. When introducing Chaka to the show, Cat told viewers: "Chaka Khan joins us now, good morning. How are you?"
The music star simply replied: "I'm here!" before bursting out laughing. As Ben also let out a chuckle, he added: "And we're thrilled that you are here."
Chaka then thanked the two presenters before Cat asked if she ever thought she would have a career spanning decades.
"No," Chaka replied: "I never thought that far, you're just so busy with one thing to the next."

She added: "I never wished for anything, I just wait for whatever happens."
Ben chimed in with: "A day at a time?" as Chaka echoed: "A day at a time, and I'm a forward thinking person."
The icon, who is famed for hits including, I Feel For You, I'm Every Woman and Ain't Nobody, continued to talk about her incredible career. But This Morning viewers watching the interview at home branded the interview as "awkward".
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, One fan asked: "Why are some of the biggest celebs like this? So awkward and dismissive. If you don't want to do promo then don't do it #thismorning."
