Bridgerton season three, part two is almost upon us as millions of fans eagerly await the new episodes dropping tomorrow (June 13).

Four new instalments will be hitting Netflix in a matter of hours to pick up where Penelope Featherington (played by Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) steamily left off.

However, Penelope is still hiding a scandalous secret that threatens to throw the ton into chaos; she’s secretly Queen Charlotte’s (Golda Rosheuvel) favourite gossip columnist, Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews).

“I think the Queen and Lady Whistledown go through some amazing transformations,” Golda told Express.co.uk at Part Two’s premiere in London.

“In terms of emotional transformations and their relationship with each other.

“I’m really excited this season that we allowed that to blossom,” she teased.

Fans will have to watch the next episodes to find out if Penelope’s secret is unveiled, but there are undoubtedly more twists along the way.

TV’s iconic monarch of the moment hinted Charlotte and Whistledown will get closer than ever to a face-to-face showdown in the final four episodes of season three.

“Nicola and I have always talked about being able to finally confront each other,” she said. “So we get a little bit of that in the next episodes about to come.”

Golda also told us that the latest episode of Doctor Who, which was heavily inspired by Bridgerton, “100 percent” gets Queen Charlotte’s approval.

Although she made a guest appearance in the first episode of the new series, Space Babies, she admitted she hasn’t watched the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) take on the ton just yet.

“The stills and stuff that I’ve seen, absolutely, 100 percent,” she said.

“I know we had Jack [Murphy], our choreographer on there as well, so he sprinkled a little bit of our magic on it.”

Golda looked stunning for the occasion, posing for photos against a flowery backdrop bringing some colour to Leicester Square.

She matched the floral theme with a beautiful blue gown patterned with summery flowers and emulated the Queen by keeping her eye-catching hair held up by a statement silver headpiece.

Bridgerton season 3, part 2 will be released Thursday, June 13 on Netflix.
