Amanda Holden's position on Britain's Got Talent appears to have been "confirmed".

The 2024 series is still ongoing, but it seems fans can expect to see the judge on the panel for another two years after she put Simon Cowell in a tight spot live on air during Sunday's (June 2) grand finale.

During magician Jack Rhodes' act, she cheekily asked Simon if she could "be on the show for the next two years and an uplift" before adding "and with Alesha and Bruno". However, Simon humorously responded, "Yes to the first one and no to the second".

As the judges gave their feedback to Jack, Amanda, who has been a part of BGT since its inception in 2004, reiterated that Simon had agreed to a "two-year deal", followed by a playful giggle.

This comes after Amanda faced criticism from viewers when she turned up for the live final wearing a daring metallic dress that seemed to defy gravity. One fan took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to write: "Considering it's a family show...Amanda Holden wears the most inappropriate outfits!#BGT", reports the Daily Star.

Another chimed in: "What's Amanda nearly wearing? ? #bgt" A third person commented: "I hope Amanda Holden is ok - she is dressed for open-heart surgery #BGT #BritainsGotTalent."

Amanda Holden faced a stark warning about her wardrobe choices before the Britain's Got Talent final, following past controversies over her daring dresses. The talent show judge previously sparked outrage with her risque ensembles, including a plunging navy gown in 2020 that led to 235 Ofcom complaints and was deemed "too revealing" for family viewing.

In 2017, another of Amanda's outfits, an expensive Julien MacDonald creation priced at £11,250, caused a stir due to its low cut, resulting in 663 Ofcom complaints making it the most complained about TV moment of the year.

In light of the upcoming live final, insiders have cautioned Amanda not to "overshadow the talent on the show" with her sartorial selections, aiming to "minimise controversy".

Dom Aldworth, Head of Brand Marketing at Slingo, speaking exclusively to Daily Star, highlighted Amanda's prominence on Britain's Got Talent, noting she is recognised not only for her role as a judge but also for her "but also her often daring and glamorous outfits."

He remarked: "Over the years, her fashion choices have stirred quite a bit of controversy. The complaints typically revolve around the perceived inappropriateness of her attire for a family-oriented show. The show is ultimately about showcasing the talents of the contestants. If a judge's attire is causing more conversation than the performances, it might be perceived as overshadowing the talent the show aims to highlight."

"While Amanda's fashion is a part of her brand, it's important to balance personal expression with the purpose of the show."

Dom remarked, highlighting the need for "a balanced approach for the final" to "help minimise controversy" and "ensure the spotlight stays on the deserving contestants".

He added, "This doesn't mean she needs to forgo her flamboyant style, but rather adapt it in a way that aligns with the event's nature and audience expectations."
