Sydnie Christmas sings My Way during BGT semi finals

Britain's Got Talent welcomed the last of its semi-final contestants to the ITV stage on Friday (May 31). But minutes after the first act was performed, fans were fuming.

The first act to face judgment from Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli was Muhammed Hakeem Mahoney, better known as Gambino Akuboy. He had the whole nation on its feet back in his audition as he performed his original but catchy song Weekend.

The 39-year-old was back, as he performed the same song once more. Everyone loved him once again as he provided an energetic start to the final round of semi-finals.

But just minutes after he exited the stage, presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announced that they would be heading to an ad break - leaving viewers at home absolutely fuming.

Fans stormed social media with complaints. One user posted to X (formerly Twitter): "Me after there is Adverts straight after 1 Act !! #BGT #BritainsGotTalent" followed by a GIF of EastEnders' Ian Beale sobbing uncontrollably.

Others complained: "An ad??? already??? #BGT" and "Ad break already... #BGT". A fourth added: "Another night of more adverts than what there are acts!" Someone else fumed: "A break already... #BGT #BritainsGotTalent."
Bookies seem to think they know who will be crowned the winner of this year's BGT. The final takes place this Sunday and after weeks of auditions and semi-finals, the contestants who have won the hearts of the judges and the nation will battle it out to win the £250,000 prize and a spot on the Royal Variety Performance.
According to OLBG, singer Syndie Christmas is tipped to be crowned the winner, with odds of 8/13 and an implied probability of 61.9 per cent.

She performed a faultless rendition of Frank Sinatra's song My Way which had judges on their feet and speechless in their comments after the performance.

This instantly saw bookies slash her odds into odds-on to win Britain's Got Talent this year with Bet365 now making her 8/13 to win the talent show ahead of this weekend's final.

Those betting odds say there's a 61.9 per cent chance of the singer winning Britain's Got Talent with another huge performance from the singer expected on Sunday night's show.

Britain's Got Talent live final airs on ITV and ITVX on Sunday at 7.30pm.
