GMB: Spice Girls' anniversary is a 'distraction' for Geri Horner
Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid said the Spice Girls 30th Anniversary could be “a nice distraction” for Geri Horner.
The Spice Girls formed in 1994, although they didn’t release their first single Wannabe until two years later. The track was a smash hit and helped catapult the group to Global superstardom.
Ranvir Singh explained in honour of the occasion the group has shared footage from their auditions and early clips. She then turned and asked Susanna and co-host Richard Madeley if they had any audition tapes they wanted to reveal.
Addressing the scandal surrounding Geri's husband Christian, Susanna said: “I was just thinking though it’s a nice distraction for Ginger Spice.” Ranvir agreed, responding: “That’s what I thought yes. Focus on the positives. “Exactly right,” Susanna exclaimed.
Ginger Spice Geri’s F1 boss husband Christian has recently been engulfed in a scandal after he faced allegations of inappropriate behaviour. The couple, who married in 2015, have one child together and both have another child from previous relationships.
On Saturday, the former Spice Girl was photographed holding hands with the Red Bull boss as they made their way to the F1 hospitality area at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Her husband was cleared of wrongdoing after a complaint was made from a female employee.
However, 24 hours after he was exonerated, an email seemingly containing private messages between Christian and the female staff member, who made the complaint, was sent out.
The pop star's husband has previously declined to comment on whether the leaked messages and WhatsApp photos were legitimate.
However, he later gave a statement discussing a turbulent period for himself, Geri, and their combined three children.
