ITV This Morning's Sian Welby admits to making rookie mistake backstage
This Morning presenter Sian Welby has admitted she made a rookie mistake while hosting the ITV daytime show alongside Dermot O'Leary and was forced to 'wee herself'
Sian Welby, a 37-year-old presenter of This Morning, has confessed to a rookie mistake she made while hosting the show.
She recently made her debut on the ITV daytime programme alongside Dermot O'Leary and was praised as the "new Holly Willoughby".
However, viewers were unaware of the struggles she faced behind the scenes.
Her stylish denim jumpsuit looked fantastic on camera, but it wasn't practical for a live show with only a three-minute advert break for a quick toilet dash. Sian learned this the hard way.
She revealed to The Sun: "I genuinely didn't have time to wee. The belt was kind of stapled in and three minutes wouldn't have been enough to run to the toilet, get out of the jumpsuit and get back in front of the cameras again."

"Rochelle Humes said that when she's hosting and needs the loo, she literally counts the seconds from the start of the ad break as she runs out of the studio.
"As long as she's done everything by 60 seconds, she knows she's fine. But yeah, lesson learned. Easy-access trousers from now on." Sian previously told the Daily Star that she missed seeing Holly on TV.
At the TV Choice Awards 2024, she said: "I think everyone's just glad to see her back on TV.
"We love her, we miss her, the UK loves her." She also complimented Holly's stunning ice rink outfits, saying: "I think she looked gorgeous. [I'm a] massive fangirl.
Talking about her time on This Morning, she shared: "Honestly, probably the best week of my life. I was on This Morning, I can't believe they sort of gave me the reins to co-host with Dermot O'Leary who I've been watching for most of my life, X Factor, Big Brother, he's a legend."
After she was on the show, lots of betting shops and experts thought Sian might stay on This Morning for good, maybe taking Holly's place.
But just recently, it was announced that Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley are going to be the new presenters starting from next month.
This Morning airs on weekdays between 10am and 12.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
