Neighbours' fans fearful over beloved soap's future amid Amazon Freevee 'shutdown'
The beloved Australian soap found a new life on the streaming channel after nearly coming to an end in a star-studded finale last year.

Neighbours' fans were left worried that the soap would come to an end after learning that Amazon was set to get rid of their Freevee channel.
It was reported that the streamer was planning to get rid of the ad-supported service as Prime Video has recently launched ads.
Fans speculated that this would result in the Aussie soap becoming a casualty of Amazon's decision as Freevee was the only reason Neighbours continues after the soap was expected to have come to an end last year after a star-studded finale.
However, Freeview stepped in and gave it a home and the show's been a permanent fixture on the top most viewed shows since the relaunch.
Taking to X, one fan lamented: "My anxious man. I was really worried about Amazon freevee I love watching neighbours on it xxx."
Another wrote: "Amazon is to wind down Freevee, Ad Week is reporting, so what will happen to Neighbours?" While a fourth wrote: "Nah I'm gutted I enjoy watching neighbours on Freeview this sucks!"
However, on Wednesday Amazon shut down the rumours. Their spokesperson told Express.co.uk: "There are no changes to Freevee.
"Amazon Freevee remains an important streaming offering providing both Prime and non-Prime customers thousands of hit movies, shows, and originals, all for free."
Neighbours was saved by the channel after Channel 5, who helped bring the soap to UK viewers, ended their deal.

The long-running show has served as a launchpad for many famous actors, including Barbie's Margot Robbie, and singers Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue.
In last year's finale, which fans thought would be the last ever episode, many of the original stars, including Kylie - who was said to have regretted appearing on the "final episode", returned to bid their goodbyes.
However, Amazon Frevee stepped in and revived the show bringing its well-known cast, Ian Smith, April Rose Pengilly, and Melissa Bell back in returning guest roles.
Neighbours streams Mondays to Thursdays from 7am on Amazon Freevee.
