Kate Garraway was left reeling after Ben Shephard’s comment over Holly Willoughby.
Although viewers are used to seeing Ben on Good Morning Britain, he stepped in earlier this week to co-host This Morning alongside Holly.
Speaking about his time on the programme during Friday’s instalment of GMB, the 48-year-old gushed he had a “wonderful” time.
Winding up Kate, Ben said: “I had a lovely co-host who gives you time to talk and share.
“Not only do they look after you wonderfully, but we get fed. The chefs cook amazing food throughout the show.”
Highlighting that Ben had mentioned a cheesecake, she joked about feeling put out before presenting him with a special gift.
Under the desk, Kate revealed a dish as she said: “We didn’t want to be outdone here, so we’ve been working very hard on the cheesecake.”
However, Ben was quick to comment that it wasn’t freshly cooked as it had been on This Morning.
Before tucking in, he quipped: “You’ve literally gone down to a local corner shop.

“I tell you what, Holly Willoughby has never been more attractive!”
As he ate the food, he thanked the team for spoiling him before adding that there were no expenses spared in getting him the gift.
Pretending to be offended, Kate replied “Very ungrateful. Right, we’ll that’s you sorted out. You weren’t very grateful so you better get on with the job!”
Ben first appeared on This Morning on Monday as he told Holly he was thrilled to be able to sleep in a bit later.
As he introduced the show, he told her: “Three-hour lie-in, are you kidding?
“My alarm went off at about 6.30 - 6.45. What is this? My face looks awake, I didn’t need an iron to sort it out.”
Good Morning Britain continues on weekdays on ITV from 6am.
