Ava Santina on 'threatening' comments after GB News row
Political correspondent Ava Evans has claimed people have been making threats against her following the backlash from Laurence Fox’s interview on Dan Wootton’s show.
During an interview on Tuesday night, Laurence launched into a vile rant regarding Ava and claimed no "self-respecting man" would "like to climb into bed with that woman, ever".
Since then, the 45-year-old has been suspended from GB News along with host Dan as a full investigation takes place.
Appearing on Thursday’s instalment of Good Morning Britain, Ava shared her thoughts on the situation, following their suspension.
Presenter Ben Shephard asked: “What’s been the impact on you, particularly from their supporters?”
She replied: “I’m deeply embarrassed by all of it and I’m appreciative of everyone who has very kindly stood up for me.
“But, it's the other side of it. Half of the comments are very lovely and supportive and the other side is very threatening.
“I’m somehow part of this global agenda that is trying to bring down men and I hate all men and therefore I need to watch my back and be very careful.
“There are certain people who now threatening to come after me.”

Ava told the duo her direct messages on social media are full of people threatening her in light of the situation.
As Susanna Reid asked if she’s reported those to the authorities, Ava admitted she’s yet to do so.
She added: “It's only been a day, I’m sort of trying to get my head around all of it. Reading them is honestly astounding.”
A statement on Twitter from GB News read: “GB News has suspended Dan Wootton following comments made on his programme by Laurence Fox last night. This follows our decision earlier today to formally suspend Mr Fox. We are conducting a full investigation."
However, Laurence has taken to social media to reveal he’s standing by “every word” he said on the show.
In a lengthy statement, he wrote: “If a woman wants to go on television and belittle male suicide, she is totally within her rights to do so and not apologise.
“Just as I am totally within my rights to say that I wouldn’t want to sh*g a hyper offended 4th wave feminist and not apologise, just as people are totally within their rights to be offended by my stating I would run a mile in the opposite direction from women like her, should our paths cross in a bar.
“It’s called free speech. I realise that the new woke world is low on laughter and high on offence, but it’s still worth trying to find the lighter moments in this joyless new cancel culture which has been created for us.”
