Sweet Magnolias has been away from Netflix for more than a year and has since returned for its third outing.
Express.co.uk delves into the events of the grand finale, from unexpected apologies to possible blossoming romances.
How does Sweet Magnolias season 3 end?
Entitled Save My Place, the finale starts with Dana Sue (played by Brooke Elliott) and Erik (Dion Johnstone) making up, with the former offering him his job back.
She also asks Erik if he could make the cake for her and Ronnie’s (Brandon Quinn) vow renewal party but he turns down both offers as he feels so bad for the way he treated her.
He then confesses to working with Kathy (Wynn Everett) while he wasn’t at Sullivans and made it clear he wasn’t there anymore and didn’t know about their rivalry.
It comes out that the reason behind Kathy destroying Dana Sue’s kitchen was because she was furious he rejected her, and while she still forgives Erik, he cannot forgive himself.

Helen (Heather Headley) is seen trying to convince Peggy (Brittany L. Smith) to run to become Serenity’s next mayor and she volunteers her services as her campaign manager.
Whether or not she will decide to try for the position hasn’t been made clear but could be explored in a potential fourth season.
Everything does later sort itself out when it comes to Erik though as he shows up at Sullivan’s stating he would make Dana Sue a cupcake tower for the ceremony as a freelancer.
She insists on only taking up his offer if Erik comes back to work for her full-time to which he eventually agrees to.
Meanwhile, Annie (Anneliese Judge) finally breaks up with Jackson (Sam Ashby) and runs over to Tyler (Carson Rowland) to tell him he was right about their relationship issues all along.
Tyler had his own problems to contend with as he told his mum Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher) that he is thinking about taking a gap year before college which she agrees to, although reluctantly.

The big day arrives and the town is gathered to celebrate Dana Sue and Ronnie’s vow renewal when Kathy and Bill (Chris Klein) show up.
But rather than cause even more drama, she publicly apologies to Dana Sue for what’s happened and offers Ronnie their grandmother’s tea set to say sorry.
They accept her apology and she tells them she and Bill are going away for a while, with everyone breathing a quiet sigh of relief.
Annie is also spotted holding hands with Tyler during the ceremony which teases there could be love in the air for this pair.
Dana Sue throws her bouquet with Helen managing to catch it with her locking eyes with Erik so perhaps their romance isn’t quite over yet.
Cal (Justin Bruening) tells Maddie he is surprised she didn’t try harder to catch the bouquet with the episode ending with them sharing a kiss.
Could it be that Cal wants to pop the question to Maddie at last?
Sweet Magnolias is available to watch on Netflix.
