EastEnders' Phil Mitchell makes discovery about George Knight's ex Rose
EastEnders fans have become more and more curious about newbie George Knight since he turned up in Walford with his two daughters. While Linda Carter is extremely suspicious of the former boxer, she might get a few answers about George's past in upcoming episodes.
EastEnders: Linda clashes with Elaine over the pub
In scenes yet to air, Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright) convinces Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to do some digging on George Knight (Colin Salmon).
EastEnders fans will know Linda has been suspicious of her mum Elaine Peacock's (Harriet Thorpe) fiancé since he arrived to live with them at The Vic.
So far though, she's failed to find any dirt on him to prove her instincts correct.
In a desperate attempt to discourage Elaine from marrying George, Linda enlists the help of Phil.
As he gets Callum Highway (Tony Clay) to use his police facilities to find out more, Linda's concerns grow further.

In future episodes, Elaine is busy planning a ‘Battle of the Dads’ karaoke competition at The Vic.
Still suspicious of George, Linda talks to Phil about George's wife Rose, and her disappearance.
After some persuasion, Phil agrees to find out what he can to ensure he’s not going into business with someone he can’t trust.

Phil then convinces a reluctant Callum to search the police database to put Linda’s mind at rest.
Callum’s investigations come to nothing as George has a relatively clean record.
However, when he looks up Rose, he's baffled to find all access is denied.
When Linda finds out about the latest discovery, she’s convinced it proves that George is dodgy.
Meanwhile, Phil invites George to spar at the Boxing Den and asks him directly about Rose.
George insists there’s nothing to tell and argues Linda has got him wrong.
Phil begins to stall signing the deal with George and soon ropes his solicitor Richie in to dig up dirt on Rose.
When he arrives at The Vic on the pretense that they will complete the contracts, Phil accuses George of not being straight with him.
What does he find out about George's past? Could the Rose discovery prove Linda correct that the newcomer shouldn't be trusted?
EastEnders continues on Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
