Coronation Street fans sent into a frenzy as ‘brilliant’ comedian makes guest appearance
Coronation Street viewers couldn't believe their eyes during Monday night's episode when one famous comedian made her soap debut.
Coronation Street: Eliza and Sam strike up a friendship
During the latest instalment of the ITV soap, fans saw Aggie Bailey (played by Lorna Laidlaw) and her husband Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) enjoy a romantic meal out together.
However, their time was quickly interrupted when their old neighbours Patrick (Phil Mealey) and Yvette (Arabella Weir) walked in.
Yvette, who was fuming over how long she’d been waiting to be seated, was thrilled to see Aggie and Ed as they joined them for a catch-up.
Comedian and actress Arabelle Weir is mostly known for starring in the BBC Two comedy series Two Doors Down along with her novel Buy Does my Bum Look Big in This?
After seeing the comedian appear in the soap, it wasn’t long before viewers took to Twitter to share their delight.

During the episode, Arabella’s character made it clear she wasn’t a fan of Weatherfield after Aggie admitted to living there.
In upcoming episodes, Yvette suggests coming around their new house, leaving Aggie horrified her old neighbours would look down on them,
Trying to help, Tim Metcalfe decides they can use his house and try to pass it off as their own when hosting Yvette and Patrick.
As Sally watches Aggie prepare dinner, she believes the whole situation will end in disaster.
It seems her suspicions come to fruition as the pair arrive to find Tim in nothing but Sally’s pink dressing gown.
How will Aggie and Ed get their way out of this lie they’ve started?
Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
