Tearful Holly Willoughby says she felt 'shaken and troubled' over Phillip Schofield affair
Holly Willoughby made her return to This Morning on Monday and presented the ITV show alongside Josie Gibson.
Holly Willoughby's This Morning statement
Holly Willoughby has broken her silence regarding Phillip Schofield's departure from This Morning on Monday as the host made a return to the show.
Holly took an extended break from her presenting duties following her former co-star's sudden exit from the ITV programme.
Holly's break from This Morning came after Phillip admitted to having an affair with a younger male colleague.
Despite lying to Holly and his co-stars at This Morning, Phillip has insisted his pal knew nothing about the affair.
Holly, who appeared alongside Josie Gibson on Monday, said: "Good morning, Josie, thank you for being here.

Holly concluded: "From my heart, can I just say thank you for all of your kind messages and thank you for being here this morning.
"Myself, Josie, Dermot, Alison and Craig, and every single person that works on this show, we'll continue to work hard every single day to bring you a show that we love."
Last week, Phillip opened up about what life has been like since news of his affair emerged.
He said his "life was over" and that he'd "lost everything" as a result of his lie.
The 61-year-old told The Sun if it wasn't for his two daughters "he wouldn't be here".
The former Dancing on Ice host also addressed his broken relationship with Holly, explaining they are "no longer speaking".
"I’ve lost my best friend. I let her down (Holly). I let that entire show down. I let the viewers down," Phillip shared.
“Holly did not know (about the romance). And she was one of the first texts that I sent to say, ‘I am so, so sorry that I lied to you’."
