Ex This Morning boss calls for ITV shake-up as Holly Willoughby return confirmed
Holly Willoughby has no plans to leave This Morning and will return to the ITV show on Monday. However, a former producer on the show believes the programme needs a shake-up.
Alison Hammond breaks down over Phillip Schofield
Former executive editor of This Morning, Shu Richmond has penned an open letter about her time working on the ITV show.
And while she doesn't want the programme to be "axed", she thinks producers could make a few changes to entice viewers to watch it.
The former ITV boss took to her website, Want To Work In TV, where she shared her thoughts on how This Morning can be "rescued".
Elsewhere in the post, Shu took aim at This Morning's current editor, Martin Frizell.
She suggested Martin should leave the show like a "sacrificial goat".

"You know how this works, you've been around the block as much as I have," Shu said.
"You were at the wheel at the time and regardless of your excellent qualities as an Editor something has to change, someone has to go.
"Like the sacrificial goat, I rather suspect it's going to be you, not necessarily your fault, of course.
"If you fancy a drink where we share war stories (I was Editor of the show when the John Leslie scandal blew up – and engineered for Phillip Schofield to replace him)."

Shu's post comes after This Morning editor Martin broke his silence regarding Phillip Schofield's exit from the show.
The show boss was approached by a GB News reporter on Thursday who questioned him about Phillip's affair.
After approaching Martin while he was walking in the street, GB News host Ben Leo asked: "What planet is it feasible that you guys never knew about Schofield's lover when he was on stage with you at the NTAs?"
"I can't hear you, Ben," Martin replied as the reporter repeated his question.
"There is a good statement that came out from Carolyn," the This Morning boss explained. "So I will stick with that."
He later added: "She made a good statement and the case will go through all these things and you'll find out when it comes out, everything will be made public."
During Friday's show, Alison Hammond confirmed Holly would be back on Monday and would be joined by Josie Gibson.
Holly decided to take an extended break after Phillip admitted to lying about having an affair with a younger male colleague.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
