Annika is a new crime drama following a detective who has returned to Glasgow to head up the Marine Homicide Unit.

The BBC is airing a new crime drama, Annika, following DI Annika Strandhed who is tasked with solving puzzling crimes and unexplained murders that wash up in Scotland's waters.
On her first day in a new role, Annika is called in to solve the puzzling murder of a man.
The synopsis reads: "Sharp, witty, enigmatic. DI Strandhed takes on unfathomable murders washed up in Scotland’s waterways - confiding in the audience as she hunts the killers."
The series is made up of six episodes and they are all available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.

DI Annika Strandhed - Nicola Walker
Annika Strandhed is a Detective Inspector in the Scottish Police who has recently transferred to the Glasgow Marine Homicide Unit (MHU).
She brings her teenage daughter with her and the relationship between Annika and her daughter is the basis for the sub-plot across all the episodes.
Annika is played by Nicola Walker, a 53-year-old English actress known for her roles in Spooks, Unforgotten and Last Tango in Halifax.
She also played Hannah Stern in the popular series The Split, and starred alongside Sean Bean in Marriage.
DS Michael McAndrews - Jamie Sives
Detective Sergeant Michael McAndrews is a senior member of the MHU who lost out to Annika as the lead for the unit.
Still thinking he is best for the job, he views Annika as a smart but prickly individual to deal with. He is the team's search diver.
Actor Jamie Sives, 49, is known for his roles in Rockface, Frontier and Guilt.
He worked as a scaffolder, as a postman, and as a club doorman in Edinburgh before turning to acting full-time.
DC Blair Ferguson - Katie Leung
Detective Constable Blair Ferguson is the analyst dealing with the data and technical support for the team.
As the youngest member of the team Annika often asks her perspective when it comes to her daughter.
She is played by Katie Leung, a 35-year-old Scottish actress who played Cho Chang, Harry's first love interest in the Harry Potter film series.

DS Tyrone Clarke - Ukweli Roach
Detective Sergeant Tyrone Clarke has transferred from the Border Command, a police drug investigation unit, to try and reboot his career.
His job comes before everything and he is used to working alone which clashes with the team environment Annika is trying to adopt.
He is played by Ukweli Roach, a 36-year-old actor best known for playing Dr Robert Borden in Blindspot.
His other credits include The Midwich Cuckoos and The Royals.
DCI Diane Oban - Kate Dickie
Diane is played by Kate Dickie, a 52-year-old Scottish actress who is known for her stage and screen roles.
She starred as Lex in the BBC series Tinsel Town and Lysa Arryn in Game of Thrones.
Morgan Strandhed - Silvie Furneaux
Morgan is Annika's teenage daughter and she often falls out with her mother on various issues.
Meanwhile, Annika struggles to see the teenager's perspective.
She is played by Silvie Furneaux, who is known for her roles in Red Rose and Vigil.
Sam Decosta - Saskia Ashdown
Sam is played by Saskia Ashdown, a Scottish actress who has previously starred in Six Four and Trust Me.
Viewers may also recognise her for her guest roles in Casualty and Clique.
Isla Hendry - Caroline Guthrie
Isla is played by Caroline Guthrie, whose acting career dates back to the early 80s.
She has starred in Glasgow Kiss, Psychos, Casualty and Behind Her Eyes.
Finlay Morris - Gavin Jon Wright
Finlay is played by Gavin Jon Wright, who has previously starred in River City, In Plain Sight and Shetland.
Viewers may also recognise him from Dear Green Place and Lip Service.
Danny Hendry - Christy O'Donnell
Danny is played by Christy O'Donnell, a 25-year-old actor best known for playing Henri Duquet in Find Me in Paris.
