BAFTA 2020 is a little different year with the annual Virgin Media BAFTA TV Awards taking place at home. The nominees from the acting world will be attending the ceremony from home but how will they celebrate?

The Virgin Media BAFTA TV Awards takes place tonight (Friday, July 31) at 7.30pm on BBC One. Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, the winners will accept their awards from home. Some of this year’s nominees spoke to press at several pre-ceremony Q&A’s including Express.co.uk about how they will be celebrating the evening/

Best Supporting Actor
Joe Absolom is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role as serial killer, Christopher Halliwell in ITV’s A Confession.
He is nominated alongside Will Sharpe for his performance as Rodney in Giri/Haji Stellan Skarsgard for Chernobyl and Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles in The Crown
Speaking to press, including Express.co.uk, Absolom said he was surprised he had been nominated to begin with.
Reflecting on the day he found out, Absolom said: “You don’t really consider these things are going to happen.
"You’ve just got to pay the bills and do the jobs as they come. Don't think this is but this is a really nice bonus.
"And I've enjoyed the seven weeks of just saying to people, ‘BAFTA-nominated’."
Absolom will be celebrating at home in Cornwall.
He said: “I mean, we've got to take part in it, but I'm trying to sort of just enjoy joy this last week of it. And then I guess we just got back to sort of normality on Saturday. I'll put a suit on.”

Best Supporting Actress
The nominees for Best Supporting Actress at this year’s Virgin Media BAFTA’s are Helen Behan for The Virtues, Helen Bonham Carter for The Crown, Jasmine Jobson for Top Boy and Naomi Ackie for The End of the F---ing World.
Speaking to Press, Jobson who plats Jaq in Top Boy said: “I'm going to be with friends and family and my representations.
“I’m going to be a dressed-up because I just because I'm not gonna be on a red carpet, does not mean I cannot dress up.”
Ackie said: “I’m similar to Jasmine, I'm with my housemates we are going to get some bubbly and then go to a park afterwards, after it's all done, have a bubbly in the park.
Behan said she was “raging” she was missing her first appearance at the BAFTA’s.
She said: “I’m raging because this is my first time at the rodeo and I wanted the big frock and the red carpet. So my friend has got a red carpet and she's going to roll it up outside my house and I am going to walk it.”
Behan added: “I got a gorgeous dress, which I mean it's so over the top for my sitting room but I’m wearing it.

Female Performance in a Comedy Programme
The nominees for Female Performance in a Comedy Programme are. Gbemisola Ikumelo for Famalam, Pheobe Waller-Bridge and Sian Clifford for Fleabag and Sarah Kendall for Frayed.
Speaking to press, including Express.co.uk, Ikumelo said: “I've ordered lots of crap food gonna sit and just gorge. So that’s quite nice and I'm going to wear a properly nice dress while I do it.
“I’m just going to gorge on crap that I’ve kind of sworn off for the last few months.”
Clifford who played Claire in Fleabag said: “It’s weird. To be honest, I think I am probably spending it with Pheobe [Waller-Bridge].
"We don't have our plan pinned down yet but seeing that group of people again and having like, I guess, we're going to have a little party and also we don't have to sit through a three-hour ceremony.
She added: “I don't believe in this whole like winning and losing thing like we were nominated like it's done. Just being able to share that with your loved ones is what I’m looking forward too.
Kendall revealed she was spending the BAFTA’s at a friends house.
She said: “I've got my kids with me so I'm just gonna let the kids go crazy and I don't know whether I should dress up. I feel like I want to dress up for this.”
