Claudia Winkleman cut off by Alex Jones after The One Show blunder 'We get the picture!'
CLAUDIA WINKLEMAN and her Strictly Come Dancing co-host Tess Daly appeared on The One Show this evening to speak with Alex Jones and guest presenter Gethin Jones.
The One Show: Claudia Winkleman suffers technical blunder
As per social distancing measures introduced amid the coronavirus pandemic, Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly were quizzed on The One Show from their own homes. The Strictly Come Dancing duo chatted with Alex Jones and Gethin Jones via a video link from their respective houses but it turned out Claudia couldn't get a word out following a rather glaring technical error.
Alex introduced the pair by saying: "Time now for our big Strictly exclusive and it's all for a brilliant cause."
The One Show's Gethin chimed in: "It is and to tell us all about it are two people who have made it their mission to get the nation dancing..."
Alex then stepped in and excitedly shouted: "It's our favourite double act, it's Tess and Claudia!"
The pair received a round of applause from those inside the BBC studios as their faces appeared on a screen via a video link.

Before asking for more information on the new scheme the two have put together to get people moving, Alex brought up another topic.
She asked: "Claud, the nation is worried about the fringe..."
The Strictly host could then be seen waving her hair about on-screen before shouting: "Look at it!"
Tess let out a laugh before Alex asked her: "What's the plan?"
However, at this point, The One show hosts began to experience difficulties in hearing Claudia's response.
Breaking up as she responded, Claudia said: "I don't have... I don't know what...I apologise..."
Noticing the awkward silence caused by the technical error, Gethin quipped: "This is like Skyping with parents."
Alex agreed before promptly cutting Claudia off and moving the conversation on.
Alex said: "Yep, yep, never mind, we get the picture, the fringe is very long."
The One Show host then quickly turned her attention to Tess, whose signal seemed a lot more stable and she explained all about the #keepdancingchallenge.
Claudia was unable to contribute for the rest of the interview as Tess explained all.
However, Gethin gave her connection one last go as the interview drew to a close.

As Alex and Gethin said farewell to Tess, the guest presenter asked: "Claudia, anything to add?"
Claudia's video link clearly hadn't improved, unfortunately, as she could only be heard saying: "No."
Alex and Gethin then let out a laugh as they moved on with the show.
The One Show continues every weekday at 7pm.
