Coronation Street spoilers: Ken Barlow and Norris Cole’s death ‘sealed’ in cult twist
CORONATION STREET continued last night as Ken Barlow settled into Still Waters retirement home after a tearful goodbye to Weatherfield after 60 years on the cobbles. However, Ken was caught off-guard when he discovered Norris Cole was also at the home but is trouble on the horizon for them both in a strange cult twist?
Coronation Street: Ken says goodbye to Eccles the dog
Last night viewers watched as Ken Barlow (played by William Roache) and Claudia Colby (Ruth Lensky) attempted to make friends in Still Waters retirement home. Claudia volunteered Ken to head up the literary society but in an unexpected twist, Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden) was in the audience and was desperate for Ken’s help.
Resident Felicity revealed that the host of their literary society had been rushed to hospital after a game of Yahtzee took a nasty turn.
Claudia was quick to tell the residents that Ken was quite the writer and volunteered him to do a reading at the evening's event.
The reading went down well with the residents and when he focussed his attention onto the audience’s questions he was shocked to see none other than Norris Cole.

After the initial shock, Ken was pleased to see his old friend Norris and the two caught up for a drink after the literary event.
Over a beer though, Norris asked for Ken’s help and revealed that everything may not be as it seems at Still Waters.
Norris said: "You've got to get me out of this place."
A terrified Norris revealed that even though it was fine, to begin with, he now felt he was “living in a cult”.
He told Ken: "They have to pay allegiance to the glorious leader, or else."
And Ken agreed that he believed fellow resident Charles, probably ruled the place with “an iron rod”.
However, Ken told Norris he was just being paranoid despite saying that he knew all the pensioners were “terrible gossips”.
But what does this mean for Ken and Norris if they are actually trapped in a pensioner cult, could it put them in danger?

Norris didn’t stop there and went on: “I'm a drowning man, Ken. Throw me a lifeline."
Ken was left looking concerned and things were made worse when Claudia revealed that they had been summoned to have dessert with the infamous ‘Charles’.
Is this the beginning of the end for the Coronation Street originals, or will they escape before they are taken over to the dark side?
Fans were left baffled by Norris’ ludicrous ideas, one took to Twitter and said: "Norris wants to break out of the retirement village and wants Ken to help him. It’s like an OAP version of Escape from Alcatraz."
Another added: "The Great Escape from Stillwaters by Ken and Norris.
"Ffs have Ken and Norris joined a cult." said a third.
And a fourth added: "Norris and Ken Breaking Out going to be fab to see.”
But what does the future hold for Ken and Norris and can they make it out alive?
Coronation Street continues on ITV tomorrow at 7:30pm and again at 8:30pm.
