Doctor Who cast: Who plays astronaut Adam Lang and Jake Willis? Meet the stars
DOCTOR WHO aired one of its most political episodes to date, dealing with an alien invasion due to micro plastics. The episode featured two guest characters in the form astronaut Adam Lang and his husband Jake Willis, but who are the actors behind them?

BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who delivered an exciting adventure this week focusing on an alien invasion involving the abundance of plastics and micro plastics on Earth. As usual, there were some guest characters, here’s a look at the guest cast from the episode.
Adam Lang - Matthew McNulty
The episode started with the disappearance of British astronaut Adam Lang, played by Matthew McNulty.
British viewers are likely to recognise McNulty after he starred in the Channel 4 thriller Deadwater Fell opposite former Doctor Who star David Tennant.
The Manchester-born actor McNulty has starred in a number of varied projects including The Terror, Jamaica Inn, Versailles and Misfits.
According to IMDb, he’ll next be starring in a project called Running Naked.

Jake Willis - Warren Brown
Warren Brown took on the role of Jake Willis, a police officer with low self-esteem and a fractured relationship with his husband.
The character teamed up with the Doctor’s friends as he tried to find his husband in a shady building in Hong Kong afflicted with a mystery illness.
Brown’s big breakout role was in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks and has gone on to star in the likes of Luther, X Company and Homefront.
He will next be starring in the new series of Strike Back reprising his role as Sgt Thomas “Mac” McAllister.
Suki Cheng - Molly Harris
Up-and-coming actress Molly Harris took on the role of scientist Suki Cheng, who had questionable motives.
She’s only starred in the a handful of roles but is most recognisable from BBC detective drama Baptiste and Monsoon.
Harris is going to be starring as Chrys in a film version of Artemis Fowl.
Along with her screen credits, Harris has also featured in a number of theatre productions such as Measure for Measure, the Tempest and Dogville.

Gabriela Camera - Joana Borja
Portuguese actress Joana Borja played travel blogger Gabriela Camera, who was left devastated when her best friend was killed by the alien virus.
She worked with the Time Lady and helped the others thwart the invasion.
Actress Borja has had a number of roles in show such as Traces, Regresso a Sizalinda, Morangos com Açúcar and Lusitana Paixão.
The show saw regular cast members back in the frame with Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor, Bradley Walsh as Graham O’Brien, Tosin Cole as Ryan Sinclair and Mandip Gill as Yaz Khan.

The latest episode followed on from a very eventful instalment which saw Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) make a comeback to the show after nearly 10 years.
Also, fans were left shocked after the episode saw the introduction of the first BAME Doctor portrayed by Jo Martin.
Doctor Who showrunner Chris Chibnall has confirmed Martin was indeed the Doctor even if the 13th Time Lady couldn’t remember her past incarnation.
The story has been left open-ended and is likely to be resolved later on down the line.
Season 12 is going to be dealing with a story arc dealing with the Timeless Child, which the Master (Sacha Dhawan) told the Doctor about.
