Ghost of Christmas Past - Andy Serkis
Serkis may not seem too familiar straight away but he has starred in an abundance of blockbusters.
From Gollum in The Lord of the Rings and King Kong, to Caesar in Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Supreme Leader Snoke in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, Serkis is probably best known for taking on roles involving motion capture acting and animation.
However, this time around, he is putting down the CGI to perform as this story’s Ghost of Christmas Past.
Lottie, Ghost of Christmas Present - Charlotte Riley
Riley’s first major role was in ITV’s Wuthering Heights, starring alongside her now-husband Tom Hardy who is one of A Christmas Carol’s executive producers.
She has also been in The Take, Foyle’s War, Close to the Enemy, Peaky Blinders and Dark Heart.
In this version, she will be playing the Ghost of Christmas Present.
But in a new twist, she was also Scrooge’s older sister Lottie before she died.
So will she be able to help save her brother’s soul before it’s too late?
