EastEnders spoilers: Gray Atkins turns nasty as he seeks revenge on Mitch Baker?
EASTENDERS’ Gray Atkins has been a bit of a mystery ever since he arrived in Walford with wife Chantelle, but soon viewers will see his dark side begin to emerge.
EastEnders: Mick Carter and Gray Atkins hug in Queen Vic
Gray (played by Toby Alexander-Smith) has been a great help to the Taylor family and has impressed Chantelle’s (Jessica Plummer) mum Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) on the BBC soap.
However, Chantelle’s dad Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) isn’t so keen on him and hasn’t exactly tried to hide his dislike.
But tensions are set to escalate even more between the pair in upcoming scenes on EastEnders.
Several residents of Albert Square will be gearing up for Walford’s 10k charity run, including Gray, Chantelle, Bex Fowler (Jasmine Armfield) and Mick Carter (Danny Dyer).
As Gray prepares for the race, he also antagonises his father-in-law into signing up.
Meanwhile, Chantelle is determined for the event to be a success and invites a local journalist to the run.
But when the day of the charity event arrives, Mitch and Gray get caught up in a competition to out-run each other.
They are even more set on the competition when Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) says all medal holders will get a special deal at the Queen Vic later on.
While Gray is ahead in the race, Mitch surprises Gray by speeding past him other front-runner Bex.
Although, Mitch later exposes the truth as he admits he cheated to get ahead.
Many residents laugh off Mitch’s deceit but there’s one person who doesn’t think it’s funny in the slightest.
Gray is left fuming at the revelation and storms out of the celebrations.
But will the two of them be able to make amends? Or will Gray be out for revenge?
Elsewhere on the Square, this week will see the first Pride parade ever take place in EastEnders.
But newcomer Jonno Highway (Richard Graham) got off to a disastrous start when he criticised the idea of the festivities in the Queen Vic.
Jonno made a homophobic comment about Pride which saw him spark the wrath of Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden).
Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) also stood up for his son and threatened violence toward Jonno.
However, Jonno and Ben are set to come to blows in scenes to air later in the week.
So could Phil make good on his promise and attack Jonno? Viewers will have to wait and see.
EastEnders continues Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
